About Me

I was born in Cuba and moved to Canada 13 years ago. As a first-generation Canadian, I have navigated many challenges, including learning a new language, adapting to a new culture, and being separated from loved ones. These experiences have shaped my perspective and deepened my appreciation for the resilience people demonstrate when facing life’s challenges. They have also strengthened my commitment to supporting others through difficult seasons and helping them move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy is integrative, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, depression, stress, and life transitions. I offer services in both English and Spanish and, for those who wish, I also provide faith-based counselling that thoughtfully integrates Christian beliefs into the therapeutic process.

In my work, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). My practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, person-centred approach that emphasizes compassion, collaboration, and respect for each individual’s experiences and values.

I am particularly inspired by Logotherapy, developed by Viktor Frankl, which highlights the human capacity to find meaning even in the most difficult circumstances. This perspective continues to influence my work as I support clients in making sense of their experiences, building resilience, and reconnecting with what matters most to them.

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy camping and hiking with my family and our Husky, creating handmade jewelry, photography, and spending time in God’s Word.
